Giving Of Indian Philanthropists Exceeds US$2 Billion
Wealth-X, the ultra high net worth
(UHNW) business development solution for Global Private
Banks, Luxury Brands, Educational Institutions and
Non-Profits, unveiled a list of the top 10 UHNW donors in
India that measures their giving against their net worth.
With a net worth of US$12.3 billion, Azim Premji is
estimated to have donated US$1.3 billion or 10.7% of his net
worth to charitable causes. A close second is Asit Kotecha,
who gave 10.4% of his net worth. Rounding out the top three
is Shiv Nadar, who gifted 10.0% of his wealth. On average,
the top three philanthropists gave 10.6% of their net worth.
